1Get your API Key from the Nero AI API Dashboard →
2Install the latest LTS version of Node.js. Node.js includes npx, which is required to run the Nero AI MCP Server. Download Node.js →
3MCP Server Command. Your MCP client uses this command to download and start the Nero AI MCP Server.

Install command

npx -y @nero-ai/nero-ai-mcp-server

View on npm

Authentication

Set the NERO_AI_API_KEY environment variable to your API key

Choose your MCP client

Add Nero AI as a local stdio MCP server in the Claude Desktop configuration.

Setup

1Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer.
2Open the MCP configuration file.
3Add the configuration shown here.
4Restart Claude Desktop.
